Anne Cambon-Thomsen, MD, immunogeneticist, with diplomas in human biology, biostatistics, and health ethics has been involved in the ethical, legal and societal implications (ELSI) of numerous European and international projects, leads the societal platform of the Toulouse Genopole and is Director of the Common Service ELSI of BBMRI-ERIC, the European Biobanking, and biomolecular research infrastructure. She is the Champion of the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) 2018 that will be held in Toulouse 9-14 July 2018.

Happy Jabulani Nukeri is currently the Managing Director for the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) of the National Research Foundation (NRF).
He is also representing the NRF as a member of the board of directors for the South African Mathematics Foundation and also for Eskom Expo for Young Scientists. From 1985 to 2005, he served as a science educator, head of department, curriculum adviser and as an Education Specialists in Mathematics, Science and Technology for the Department of Education.
Peter Tindemans

Peter Tindemans received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at Leiden University, and has since worked in science, technology and innovation policy in the Netherlands, and as a consultant for overseas governments, the World Bank, and UNESCO. He was President of the OECD Megascience Forum, and Chair of European Spallation Neutron Source. He has been active in EuroScience as Founding Member, Governing Board, ESOF Supervisory Board Member, and now Secretary-General since 2012.

Hiroshi Tsuda joined Research Development Corporation of Japan (JRDC)( predecessor of JST) in 1992. After working in the JST’s departments related to international affairs, basic research and technology transfer etc. as well as in the overseas office, since 2011 he has worked in RISTEX which supports Trans-Disciplinary research and implementation of the results in society to cope with social issues.
Miyoko O. Watanabe

Miyoko O. Watanabe trained in physics at the Tokyo University of Science, and has since held research positions at the Toshiba R&D Center in Japan, Dalhousie University, Canada, and the University of Birmingham, UK. She returned to Toshiba in 1999 and served as Executive Quality Leader before joining the Japan Science and Technology Agency in 2013. She serves as Chairperson of Committee on Comprehensive Synthetic Engineering, Science Council of Japan.
