    2011年11月18日(金)から20日(日)の3日間、サイエンスアゴラ2011が開催されました。6回目となる今回は「新たな科学のタネをまこう、震災からの再生をめざして」をテーマに様々な催しが行われ、震災関連のイベントや展示も多く見られました。総括セッションでは、震災時の反省も踏まえ、科学と社会をつなぐリスクコミュニケーションの重要性を再認識しつつ、3日間のイベントの幕が閉じられました。

    サイエンスアゴラ2011では、工夫を凝らした、さまざまなイベントが行われました。キャパシタを使った電気自動車作りから、家庭の廃棄物を利用した実験まで、子どもたちが実際に作ったり、試したりすることができるイベントも数多く出展されました。

    サイエンスアゴラ2011では、ロボットに関するイベントや展示も数多く見られました。ロボットは子どもから大人まで楽しめるだけでなく、たくさんの学びのツールが入っています。ロボット楽団の演奏では、人とロボットの競演も見ることができました。

    理系を目指す女性も増えてきていますが、たとえば高校生たちはその具体的な姿を描けているでしょうか？サイエンスアゴラ2011では、そういった理系を目指す女性に向けた展示・イベントも多く行われました。日本を代表する女性科学者の講演、ディスカッションなど、理系女子の元気な様子をレポートします。
  • 総集編 5. 科学と社会を結ぶサイエンスコミュニケーターたち

    サイエンスコミュニケーションとは、サイエンスの楽しさ、活用の仕方を共有し、サイエンスの夢や不安について語り合い、体験しあう活動のこと。サイエンスコミュニケーターは、サイエンスの楽しさ、面白さを若い世代に伝えるというだけでなく、社会全般に正しい情報を伝えるという点でも、大切な役割を担っています。サイエンスアゴラ2011では、こうしたサイエンスコミュニケーターのためのイベントも数多く行われ、活発に意見が交換されました。また、最終日の総括セッション第2部では、優れた企画に贈られる「サイエンスアゴラ賞」の受賞企画が発表されました。
